Classroom Landscape (in progress)
College of Alameda
A new landscape was designed near the temporary classrooms facility of the community college. The landscape will replace the entire existing lawn with native fescue, ornamental grasses, and other drought tolerant plants and facilitate stormwater drainage. Three small seating areas provide gathering space outside the classrooms. Design considerations were needed for the site’s poor soil quality and high water table.
