Eddie Chau Design, established in 2005, is a San Francisco Bay Area based landscape architectural firm. The goal of the firm is to create memorable places for the client and public while respecting the distinct nature and history of each site.
The firm seeks to achieve high quality landscape and site design through an understanding of client needs, design process, and construction documentation, and the use of environmentally responsible materials and construction techniques.
Projects include private residences, park and public open space, historic landscapes, site and capital improvements, campuses, and playgrounds – some, the result of successful collaborations with other design professionals.
Eddie Chau is a licensed California landscape architect and has over fifteen years of experience throughout the Bay Area and New Mexico. Prior to starting his own practice, he worked in several landscape architectural firms, ranging from small residential design offices to large multi-disciplinary firms, and the Presidio Trust.
He has a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning from the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.
In addition to being a practicing landscape architect, he continues to teach in the Departments of Landscape Architecture at U.C. Berkeley Extension and the University of California at Davis.
He is a big fan of the California Golden Bears.
